Are you as excited as I am? Eh, well, you should be because this chunky decorative glitter is the bomb.com. I got these awesome orange stars that have a yellow iridescence to them. Stars? SHOOTING STARS!<br />
<br />
Here's what I did with them then I'll tell you how I did it!<br />
First, here's a quick shot of the glitter (don't mind me today, I'm washing my lightbox mat so I had to use a black t-shirt!) So you see that you get more than just one type of glitter per baggie- you get a cutout and a solid shape. I LOVE that! Can you see the iridescence?<br />

I layered these glitters over OPI DS Extravagance. This one is my absolute favorite plum-y purple ever. Holy cow I can't stop staring! Since I got the stars, I could only think SHOOTING STARS! Specifically "The More You Know"....from the PSA's. I waited for the DS to dry, then painted some seche on top, waited a few seconds for it to get partially tacky, took my tweezers and applied the glitter. After that dried for a moment I took some striping glitters from Finger Paints (unnamed, one was gold holo, the other silver/blue holo) and made my star's tails. In all, I love how they turned out and I LOVE the glitter! I'm in love with the fact that you get the cutout and the solid shape. She's got tons of shapes and colors to choose from so go check it out! <a href="http://www.datyorkloves.blogspot.com/">www.datyorkloves.blogspot.com</a> and click on the glitterland link! <br />

I must be feeling feisty, lol.<br />
<br />
Actually, I just couldn't wait to show you this gorgeous polish. This post is picture heavy because I couldn't stop taking pictures- nearly a hundred of this one alone! It was hard to settle on just a few. <br />
<br />
Lady Of The Lake is an eggplant purple with scattered holo all throughout. To say that I love this polish is an understatement. It's from her Mythical's Collection which includes other beauties, such as Tristam (one I really want) which she matched perfectly to the color of her kittie's eyes. Inspiration comes from everywhere! You can purchase them at her website directly <a href="http://www.a-england.co.uk/" target="_blank">HERE</a> or from her US distribution partner, my FAVORITE place to buy polish: <a href="http://www.ninjapolish.com/home.php?cat=266" target="_blank">NINJA POLISH!</a><br />
<br />
It went on like butter and listen to this guys; ONE COAT! Granted it was a bit thickish, but I've rarely had a polish go on so perfectly. I'm going to be needing all of her colors ever made. Anyone want to do some swaps? Hahaha. No, seriously, I'll be generous with my swapping for a few A England's. <br />
<br />
Dry time on this was surprisingly fast, probably because I only needed one coat. I'm glad too, because that means this one will last a while. <br />
<br />
Let's have some pictures, shall we? All of these are in natural light.<br />
<br />
First, look at the gorgeous stamp it came with! I'm such a sucker for stamps.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Now, on to the polish! Here's a shot under my ott-lite. You can see the holo in this shot pretty well. Rainbows!<br />

<br /></div>
I'm not quiet about my love of Nailventurous' Floam. It is everything I love about nail polish. And it's fun! Really fun!<br />
<br />
I've had this bright green jelly from Spoiled called Permission To Proceed. It is one of my favorite jellies. I've been dying to try this because I knew they'd be perfect for each other. <br />
And...it IS perfect.<br />
<br />
I started with two coats of Permission To Proceed, let that dry fully and then one coat of Floam. This is how it looked. No cleanup (I was excited!)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I let the Floam dry completely because it's really bad about dragging. After it dried completely I topped it with another coat of Permission To Proceed and here's the end result of my Floam Sandwich!</div>

Because of the hubs night schedule at work, I don't get any time to myself until after all three of the kids are in bed. Tonight I wanted to do something really fun and new- so I tried a glitter gradient. <br />
<br />
For the base of this gradient I used <a href="https://www.facebook.com/inkandpolish?ref=hl#!/PerceptionNailLacquer" target="_blank">Perception Nail Lacquer's</a> Wicked. It's a maroon-ish blackened red with scattered (very, very scattered) holo flecks hidden inside. It had great color coverage in one coat. For the glitter gradient I used <a href="http://www.revlon.com/?utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=revlon&utm_campaign=Revlon+RAIS&utm_content=ehUUlg26l_pcrid_1135358051#/1" target="_blank">Revlon's</a> Stunning, which is a glitter made up of of large holo hexes and smaller holo round glitter. It is SUCH a fun glitter and I've yet to really use it in a fun way so this was perfect!<br />

It's more than a problem....it's full on obsession. Or, as we who grew up in the south would say "Turquaahhhs."<br />
<br />
Let's get to the heart of the matter here though. That perfect Tiffany Blue. I see turquoise, but who's counting (uh....me?). This is a color that inspires calm. That is, unless, you're the recipient of such a box, in which case, feel free to freak the hell out. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAMCtU-scHT01FdAx-va0DLsGOK7yJWB5eySSX1mO8dsLs04DtlJFXUNwUJtKhio9Vcfvmjbm-83akKlC2QBUjf4uNieSyPFg2J7G21d1u01-iddQZXlNCTrtxyJbu8StcFROBotVu0Jk/s1600/tiffany+box.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="290" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAMCtU-scHT01FdAx-va0DLsGOK7yJWB5eySSX1mO8dsLs04DtlJFXUNwUJtKhio9Vcfvmjbm-83akKlC2QBUjf4uNieSyPFg2J7G21d1u01-iddQZXlNCTrtxyJbu8StcFROBotVu0Jk/s320/tiffany+box.png" width="320" /></a></div>
For Audrey by <a href="http://www.chinaglaze.com/try-me/" target="_blank">China Glaze</a> is meant to emulate this blue and pay homage to Audrey Hepburn. They got this REALLY close and it is now my favorite turquoise of all time.(OF ALL TIMMMMEEEEEEE!!) And you know it's got to be uber spectacular to unseat Zoya's Wednesday as my favorite. <br />
<br />

<br />
So, thoughts on this polish.... it was a bit thin for my liking. It slid down into my cuticles a bit. Two coats for full coverage and I didn't let it dry long enough between coats so I got a little bubbling. To solve this I let the mani dry completely, applied one more coat on the bubbled nails and topped with Seche. Can you see any bubbles? Neither can I, and my camera sees waaaay more imperfections than the naked eye ever could. I need to get an older camera with less resolution.(HAH!) <br />
<br />
I went to an event with the kids today where there were seriously like 50 inflatable water slides, games, sumo wrestling, jousting, all sorts of water games. This polish held up wonderfully. I expected chips galore. NONE :)<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
You guys also know by now that I can't leave well enough alone so I made a dotticure with an orange stick. For this I used WetnWild's Tropicalia for the bright coral pink dots and Julep's Daisy (yellow) and Morgan (purple) dots. I love how it turned out!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So, how much are you loving For Audrey right now? What is your absolute favorite color family of polish?...you know, that one that you can't help but buy, even though you've got a million similar. It makes me think of that "Gee your nails look great" meme of her holding turquoise polishes saying "They're NOT the same, they're SIMILAR!" ....that's totally me to my husband.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Happy polishing, </div>

Lastly, for the wonderful people I've met through this (mis)adventure- (Especially the person mentioned in this post. xoxo!). So- here's my thank you to you guys :)<br />

On that note, I received a wonderful package from Becky over at Naked Without Polish (<a href="http://www.nakedwithoutpolish.blogspot.com/">www.nakedwithoutpolish.blogspot.com</a>) and facebook <a href="https://www.facebook.com/inkandpolish?ref=hl#!/LacquerLoversUnite" target="_blank">HERE</a>. If you're not following her yet, go do it. She's currently got the best giveaway ever going on- 14 indies! 14!!!<br />
Anyways, she kind of told me what she was sending but I wasn't prepared because in that box was Max Factor Fantasy Fire- That's right- unicorn pee! She also sent me Peacocks Gone Wild, a puzzle-piece notepad (my son has aspergers, so that's so perfect!) and an awesome little nail art stencil set that I'd never seen before. It worked great too! Here's some pictures of the awesome things in the box.<br />

I'm pale and wearing too much or the wrong kind of make up makes me look whorish. Just being honest here. Over time I've found a few ways to be able to wear make up without looking so flooze-tastic. So here ya go! A few people had requested for me to post my makeup routine and I was more than embarassed to do so, but after reading a few of Phyrra's blogs I figured what could it hurt? If you don't know who Phyrra is, go look! <a href="http://www.phyrra.net/">http://www.phyrra.net/</a> I admire how bold she is with her makeup choices. I know that personally, I could never pull that off.<br />
<br />
First, here's a picture of my face with no makeup and I'll point out a few problem areas that I try to cover a bit.<br />
You'll probably immediately notice my eczema (bright red dry patches on my face). I use Lorac ProtecTint in the color "in the buff" to moisturize and provide a little coverage followed by Bare Minerals powder to cover without making me look over-makeup-ed. Is that a word? It is for this purpose. Hahaha. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimZWiE-z27kFcsqytr3HWD3FX0yrSX1YdlNujERpvhZUmnuVKMBARaZCgZIqFInzdmPnxLmkw1xW-yCoVAjaKfG-d-sxMaQ3VLWZ0P7KOfyv28WOPIEtnIx7mQuHusA9fttZUZswyMDcQ/s1600/IMG_0456.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimZWiE-z27kFcsqytr3HWD3FX0yrSX1YdlNujERpvhZUmnuVKMBARaZCgZIqFInzdmPnxLmkw1xW-yCoVAjaKfG-d-sxMaQ3VLWZ0P7KOfyv28WOPIEtnIx7mQuHusA9fttZUZswyMDcQ/s320/IMG_0456.JPG" width="240" /></a> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
And an after picture: It covers pretty well without looking caked on.</div>

<span id="goog_739236693"></span><span id="goog_739236694">Next, brows.<br />Mine are somehow thin and all over the place at the same time. I would love to pull off that fierce arch you'll see in the Benefit ads. I can't though. What I CAN do though is tweeze them within an inch of their life. For this I use Sally Hansen's Raise Some Brows tweezers. I love these things and keep them in my makeup bag for quick fixes. <br />Another thing I do to make them look a little fuller is to use a good eyebrow powder. I like Body Shop's Brow and Liner Kit. I don't use the liner though, just the brow color. I use the blunt brush and lightly tap it through the natural brow shape to enhance it a bit. It looks more natural than a waxy pencil to me. In this picture my right brow is without any sort of brow powder, left brow is with. See the difference? </span></div>

Annnnnd blush: I LOVE Body Shop's highlighter and blush combo in petal. For my skin tone it gives me a nice glow without being too bright or dark. See the bit of shine it gives on the apples of your cheeks? It's perfection.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
On the eyes: For liner, I usually stick with a plum shade that brings out the green in eyes. I don't have a whole lot of green in there so I like purple shades to pull it out. For this, my favorite lately has been a cheapie and a goodie. ELF's Eye Brightening liner in Plum. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
And for the eyeshadow I always stick with gold hues. I don't know why. I just do. I think it adds a bit of pop without being too dark. I either wear Cover Girl's Golden Sunrise or here, I'm wearing L'Oreal High-Intensity Pigment line in Precious. I love how sparkly it is while still being nude (ish).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have yet to really find a mascara that I really LOVE. They all seem too wet and make my lashes clump together. I don't have a lot of lashes and to make the few that I have clump up, well that's just cruel. I've been using Benefit's They're Real- I just load up the brush and let it sit out for five minutes to dry out a bit. It still clumps though.</div>

<br /></div>Carrie-Inkandpolishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01567239655075331624noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8102487897100693351.post-16964906622353224302012-07-10T21:32:00.001-07:002012-07-10T21:32:23.017-07:00NOTD: My Favorite Polish Color EVER!Everyone who paints their nails on a regular basis has that one color that they keep coming back to; that one color that you put on when you don't want to do anything too crazy. For me, that's Zoya's Bela. It is so demure and pretty. On my skin tone (very pale with pink undertones/dark hair) it is the perfect pale pink that I had been searching for forever. You may remember that this is the Zoya that was featured in the movie Black Swan, and it looks just as beautiful as it does in the dressing room on that little mirrored pedestal. <br />
<br />
Bela is a tempermental girl though. First, it takes at least 3 coats to build opacity. The first coat goes on so sheer you'd never know it was on with just one coat. Secondly, it bubbles. It bubbles in the bottle and then bubbles stick around while you're polishing. If you don't catch it, you'll end up with a big bubble. Sometimes you'll end up with a rather large bubble no matter how careful you are, as you'll see on my ring finger in the swatches. Third, it's streaky. After three coats or so you won't see streaks but if you're looking for something you can put on real quick, this isn't the one. However, I can absolutely overlook these things because I love this shade SO MUCH. If you're looking for the perfect pink and you have a bit of time to sit down and treat this polish like the thing of beauty that it is, you'll be very pleased. It's a universally flattering color; I've seen it on women of all skin tones and it is always just as pretty and demure on all of them. <br />
<br />
So.....personally? This is a polish I think every woman should own. <br />
<br />
For the accent nail, I did a simple stamping in silver with an unnamed/unbranded plate I found on clearance. <br />
<br />
I just now noticed that there's glitter on my polish, haha! Guess that's what happens when I make polish on my painting desk. Whoops!<br />

This is the third time I've tried Essie's Go Overboard- with three different top coats. IT ALWAYS BUBBLES. I'm in love with the color though, sp I keep trying it, and keep getting disappointed. Anyways, this is two coats with one coat of gelous on top. For the tips it's a glitter franken I made. Hope you like this more than I do!<br />

Cherish Polish is a line that is a collaboration between myself and my sister. What makes Cherish different is that we will make donations to different charities for each line. <br />
<strong><u>CH</u>arity Pol<u>ISH</u> = CHERISH!</strong> <br />
<br />
We believe in philanthropy, no matter how small. Philanthropy is defined as "for the love of humanity" and this type of feeling is what drives me every day. Cherish is a brand you can feel good about buying, knowing that we're making this line "for the love of humanity" and not to pad our pockets, as we have all seen with she who will remain unnamed. It's truly a labor of love. Not only will Cherish donate to charity, but you'll be able to help pick which charity we'll do next! <br />
<br />
With that being said; I would like to announce that the first line will be in support of Children's Medical Hospital Heart Center, located in Dallas, TX. <br />
<br />
My handsome nephew, Ethan, was born with a congenital heart defect and Children's hospital staff have been a huge part of his success so far. With all they've done for my sister, brother-in-law and nephew- it is the perfect way to show my gratitude. <br />
<br />
Not only will proceeds of this line go to the Heart Center, if any polishes from this line are popular, proceeds from those polishes will always be set aside for them. If I bring back a color, even if it's released along with a different collection, you will know that Children's will still get their donation. <br />
<br />
The same will go for all collections, and after this one gets going I'll be polling you guys to see which charity should be next! <br />
<br />
The first line isn't quite ready yet but it will be later this year, so keep your eyes peeled for updates!<br />
For now, you can find updates on my facebook page or this blog. My facebook is located at <a href="http://www.facebook.com/inkandpolish">www.facebook.com/inkandpolish</a>.<br />

<br />
And of course, I couldn't make this post without showing you the whole reason I started this endeavor. My truly inspiring nephew, Ethan. In this picture, he looks like he's a super hero about to take flight. Aaaand away!!!!! Hehehehhehehe. <br />

<br />
Yeah, that. Okay, now that we've gotten that out of the way- I'll start by saying that this was my first and longest lemming. I saw floam, and being a kid of the 80's/90's it immediately brought feelings of nostalgia. I've been stalking Ninja Polish for months and then when I saw her facebook post for the early morning people I flew over there and ordered it as fast as I could. It's finally mine!<br />
So, I know you've always seen a ton of better swatches, but here's mine and I could not love this polish more.<br />

On the accent nail I used a little of Orly's Mermaid's Tale. I have seen Floam both with and without top coat and I must say, I'm a huge fan of it with no top coat, completely matte. Floam is a pain in the whatsits to apply, I must say. It took three coats to get this kind of coverage and I had to let each coat dry completely before applying the next or it tried to drag around the nail. Pain? Yes. Worth it. Abso-freaking-loutely. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I have a really pretty neon green jelly that I want to try this over as a one-coater. In my mind this will be super fun. I don't know about how that will turn out in reality. I'll keep you updated on that one.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Do you own Floam or any of it's sisters? Pinkerbell, Sunny Floam, or the Humble Bee?. How much do you LOVE them? If the others are as amazing as this one, I know I'll be trying to get my hands on all of them. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

How FUN was this one? Matching lip gloss AND America The Beautiful. Stunning! <br />
<br />
I haven't ever done a makeup review, and to be honest, I don't wear makeup on a daily basis so bear with me on this one. <br />
<br />
First up, the one we've all been waiting for, AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Thoughts on this one: I got one of the wonky brushes, so it was hard to apply in addition to it being REALLY thick. It was also extremely gritty as most super glittery polishes are. A coat of Gelous and two of Seche to make this one smooth. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The white one you see here is Kate, which is a soft white pearl. It is so much like several other colors I have. Application on this one was okay, but again, weird brush. I layered it with Kleancolor's Bluebell to add some pop. </div>

I took pictures first, in artificial incandescent light, then in sunlight. You can see that it can be either light or darker depending on how much you layer it and how bright the lighting is. The color is called Zinnia. To me it was sticky, but all lip glosses are. I prefer a colored chap-stick like Tarte. </div>

So, what do you think about Julep's branching out this month? I'm pleasantly surprised.</div>Carrie-Inkandpolishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01567239655075331624noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8102487897100693351.post-72283312958996357452012-06-28T05:48:00.001-07:002012-06-28T06:04:16.459-07:00New Jawbreaker FormulaI know I am going to hear some flack about this and here's why: I don't like it. It has too much glitter, isn't as smooth and my glitters are curling, mainly the red squares. Here's a photo first, then well discuss more. <p></p>
<center><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJ1SIQ9NIwGzVe3DSZ0RDP3zzwBtdn41pWSC24bilb6XfVCRj5EIeXito7cBVdddDIeFA4ZtQ5hJmTIh0BSdbsp8K4Hw56zbZpz5oz7oh_bz7m3_SEoifIyfg_SVgLk2h4ku-WYceFegs/ width="320" height="277"/></center>
I miss my old formula. Even with two coats of Seche, this one isn't smooth yet. Not even close. With the older formula, the glitter was more sparse, it was smoother, the white was richer. Now it seems more watery, even though it is thicker. To me, it looks more like a white base with glitter than it does like a jawbreaker. Don't get me wrong, it is pretty and I am sure you guys won't be as picky as me. I have a little of the old formula left and I am sticking with that and will put this one up on my blog sale.
<br/>
What do you think about the new formula? Do you guys even care that its changed? :-D
<br/><br/>
Happy polishing!
XO,<br/>

SASHA and ROBIN colorblocking!Colorblocking is everywhere right now...and now it's on my tips!
In my latest Maven shipment I got sasha and robin. These are two fun summer colors so I decided to colorblock them on my mani. Here's what I got.... what do you think? Do you think you will be trying a colorblocked mani sometime soon?

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I liked the colors a lot. Sasha was the electric melon color and Robin is supposed to be a robbins egg blue but it had a bit too much green in it for me to call it that. Maybe more turquoise.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Is it just me or does anyone really dislike Julep's brushes? They pick up either WAY too much polish, or not enough to make a smooth pass over the nail. NOT a fan of the Julep brushes. Sorry. </div>

Julep always makes really beautiful colors, especially their creams. They're rich, luxe looking. </div>

I don't talk much about the rest. People change after war, you know? Anyways, Memorial Day is special day for us. To celebrate, I painted my nails for the occasion and here's how I did it. <br />
<br />
I started off with my usual routine: Essie's all-in-one basecoat and I really like Sinful Color's basecoat on top because it really adheres polish to nails. I only use this when I want to keep a mani for several days. After those two I used Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear in Red Carpet on all nails except my ring finger and for my accent nail I used Orly's Royal Navy. Sally Hansen's Red Carpet is a nice sparkly red, but not anything that you haven't seen before. Orly's Royal Navy is a nice deep blue with lots of green sparkle inside. It is my favorite darker blue. <br />

<br />
See how pretty this Orly Royal Navy is? I lurve it. <br />
<br />
After the base paint, I took my striping brush and China Glaze's Ray-diant to make glittery silver tips. <br />
Finally on my accent nail I painted a big white star!<br />
<br />
Since Ray-diant is such a gritty glitter, I used a coat of gelous over the top to smooth everything else and NYC Grand Central Station over top to dry it.<br />

Cherry Blossoms w/ green tips.....before I begin, let me just say that I don't do nail art often and I am NOT good at it. This one though is easy and fun.<br />
<br />
I've done cherry blossoms on a jade colored background before but it was always just too busy for me so I saw this somewhere and decided to recreate it. This is my first tutorial so bear with me!<br />

<br />
WOW- That came out tiny! Okay, lesson learned. I spent all that time typing it out on the picture and it's unreadable. Hah! From top left, to right; 100% Acetone, Sinful Colors Black on Black, Wet-n-wild I need a refresh-mint, Wet-n-wild Tropicalia, Spoiled Colors Correction Tape, Sinful Colors Pinky Glitter. On the bottom I have my combo dotting tool and nail art brush, and then my beloved ELF foundation brush which I use for cleanup. I also use a pad of artists paper. You'll see why. You're going to need a cleanup brush for this one!<br />
<br />
First, let me point out a few things. For nail art, I DO NOT use expensive polishes. I think it is wasteful. <br />
Second, my camera died mid-painting so I'll have to describe the last few steps to you as I did them.<br />
<br />
*First, I put on a coat of basecoat (I use Essie's all-in-one) then a thin coat of Pinky Glitter. This adds a bit of sparkle but not much else. It's nice. <br />
*Put a BIG dab of your jade or mint green on the paper and use your art brush to paint the tips. You don't want this perfect and straight. Go up the sides and curve downwards, alternate sides, etc. You'll do two thin coats of this and let it dry 5 minutes or so.<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Keep your brush clean and thin your dollop of green polish with acetone if it gets too thick; much like painting with acrylic paints. </div>

Here's where my camera dies...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I then put some black polish on the paper and used a fine striping brush (I saved one from an old bottle of art polish) to add branches. To do this, you don't want straight lines. Make them wiggly! I like to put my branches near the line where you painted the green and then one coming from the top or side. Whatever you want, loves. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpFV1KExvpozeKN4vM8Kur01FKy3R391KpdVLb0WFTT7_k14WiG-VIT7VdK9eidFprcoLnZH19s3YWFjQMkAGtUVpBCN9U9ZPeilyHzoM6lponDGkYoSnm6UQzb7Ms5Ksuopg_ztjCdZ0/s1600/cherry+blossoms+tutorial+011.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpFV1KExvpozeKN4vM8Kur01FKy3R391KpdVLb0WFTT7_k14WiG-VIT7VdK9eidFprcoLnZH19s3YWFjQMkAGtUVpBCN9U9ZPeilyHzoM6lponDGkYoSnm6UQzb7Ms5Ksuopg_ztjCdZ0/s320/cherry+blossoms+tutorial+011.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<br />
After you've made your branches, get out your white, pink and red colors and dotting tool. It's not pictured, but I used Essie's muchi muchi for my light pink. Put one large drop of each on the paper, right next to each other and swirl it together like this: <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSOx-G7ErjQxPHD8ea7v88nNE4aFOa7YQDAycoXCkHL-eox04lKOxGYVeSB_rUdCgdvTb1yRPibrwsKv7fGbejIKXCLaAtpTtqC8ktIILXcoM4K7eTi3UIDBrqZ1uFUuD9y4dw2V-3XxQ/s1600/cherry+blossoms+tutorial+017.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSOx-G7ErjQxPHD8ea7v88nNE4aFOa7YQDAycoXCkHL-eox04lKOxGYVeSB_rUdCgdvTb1yRPibrwsKv7fGbejIKXCLaAtpTtqC8ktIILXcoM4K7eTi3UIDBrqZ1uFUuD9y4dw2V-3XxQ/s320/cherry+blossoms+tutorial+017.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I always add more white than anything. Swirl around the paint a bit with your dotting tool, making sure you get a nice light color and make 4-petal dot flowers on the branches. I don't do more than two per nail. You'll also put single dots along the branches for smaller flowers and you can do 3-dotted flowers as well. Again, however you like it!<br />
<br />
When you're done with all of the flowers you'll go back with your pink or red and dot the middle of the flowers.<br />
<br />
You've just made Jade and Cherry Blossom nails! These are easy because you don't have to have a steady hand (branches are wiggly!) and you don't have to have really special tools. It's a good starter if you don't do nail art often like me. If you do this, send your pictures to my facebook page. I'd love to see how wonderful ya'll are!<br />
<br />
Until next time,<br />

This one is from their "Gem Crush" line that I've been eyeballing for a while but haven't had the gusto to buy until recently. Very glad that I did because this one is so much fun. Really!<br />
Be-Jeweled is a nice purple micro glitter with larger round pink glitter and a smidge of silver micro glitter in there as well. It's a pretty gritty glitter and she's a hungry glitter. This one ate two coats of seche, a coat of gelous and ANOTHER coat of seche on top of THAT before it was smooth. If you can deal with that, I'd say this is a buy.<br />

DVD might be pretty if I just used it over other colors. So I did. WOW. Completely surprised by what I saw. <br />
Below you see it layered over Zoya's Ivanka (I did Charla afterwards and it was even better, but I didn't get pictures of that one. Sad day) and Spoiled Color's Checkin' Into Rehab. <br />
<br />
Look how pretty! Okay, I lost my second clean-up brush in a week so there's NO cleanup on these. <br />
<br />
So my amendment? Definitely look into getting DVD. I am going to get a full-sized one today!<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
Sally Hansen HD Colors in Lite, Hi Res, Cyber and DVD</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLiBA8l2MHu6l8naqQ_YyWFHBFleKpIHvKHG69nW994zQ_Sag4Vx8jp0QiffrLyRWq66T9QWeqSHRI9PACNqVoUepVMmytgXgvzPoK7uZsAtl9pOKmLcBlMH4n9WbqIyEqRfkaxA5seJI/s1600/IMG_0043.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLiBA8l2MHu6l8naqQ_YyWFHBFleKpIHvKHG69nW994zQ_Sag4Vx8jp0QiffrLyRWq66T9QWeqSHRI9PACNqVoUepVMmytgXgvzPoK7uZsAtl9pOKmLcBlMH4n9WbqIyEqRfkaxA5seJI/s320/IMG_0043.JPG" width="320" /></a> </div>
<br />
I know that these have been out for a while, and I was never really interested in the set until I saw that I could buy the minis as a set for less than the cost of one full bottle. I'm a sucker for variety so I swiped it and left before I could talk myself out of it.
<br />
<br />
Let's start with Lite. I really like this color yellow. It is bright and shimmery with a bright finish. I would ALMOST call it a foil. This is one of the two that I'd really wear again and this is one of the very few yellows that I like.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkCcQ4QXXNHHP1g8rxtrlHkQCXNEEMj2UNnIQAyEAs-mIrIcR8poWRkqQJKTMo8upWXmTFeQ7pZlqa4vqdRETFTXC7pTePSPuDUvnxcle8OOIbhJpJM0jlH56WPNoTUo2YjPDL4Da4PmI/s1600/IMG_0040.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkCcQ4QXXNHHP1g8rxtrlHkQCXNEEMj2UNnIQAyEAs-mIrIcR8poWRkqQJKTMo8upWXmTFeQ7pZlqa4vqdRETFTXC7pTePSPuDUvnxcle8OOIbhJpJM0jlH56WPNoTUo2YjPDL4Da4PmI/s320/IMG_0040.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Next is Hi-Res. It is a bright pink shimmer that leans toward the magenta side. In the bottle it looks like a pink/purple duochrome but sadly, that didn't really translate on the nail. It's still really pretty and it is one of the two that I would wear again even though it doesn't flash as much of the purple in it as I'd hoped. It is still really pretty. I only got one picture to flash a bit of the duochrome.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5jxvNT7o9O-iaOJKEJJLSrnl_V8yQ4n-51-64S9TLRfkAiETtOACcgR011xeLYVzxs0Wffr5qilHNUXFfT9Iq_ntdU1RlwTxB9tWRmjlcNHEiQtcHgRWiVwx3xOEvvOcuYCWuaz_19yg/s1600/IMG_0041.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5jxvNT7o9O-iaOJKEJJLSrnl_V8yQ4n-51-64S9TLRfkAiETtOACcgR011xeLYVzxs0Wffr5qilHNUXFfT9Iq_ntdU1RlwTxB9tWRmjlcNHEiQtcHgRWiVwx3xOEvvOcuYCWuaz_19yg/s320/IMG_0041.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Third is Cyber, it is a bright grapey purple shimmer. It is a lot more purple than my pictures are showing and I don't know why. I tried natural light, artificial light with the ott-light (which ALWAYS shows things true to color) and ambient lighting. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghu-P8EJSVflnD6BpJTCr-Z7ugWKXq3JW2CdF3zcysz2RKi53I6MIHmbGboLOFSMqRZZGcNHaEExHSXMhN6NsoIv7c51LIkKo17LlVavTDOlmCc1JvV8BM1bMY4Ogu8EYPEPIO4gNk9v8/s1600/IMG_0034.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghu-P8EJSVflnD6BpJTCr-Z7ugWKXq3JW2CdF3zcysz2RKi53I6MIHmbGboLOFSMqRZZGcNHaEExHSXMhN6NsoIv7c51LIkKo17LlVavTDOlmCc1JvV8BM1bMY4Ogu8EYPEPIO4gNk9v8/s320/IMG_0034.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
This one bubbled up almost immediately though....so here's a picture of that.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhv9EulCLIax0t58BbgIpQsVcR-rUbuDUeKhn08vP3iLiTesm-jGapnvlMFp-d8itvT0IWvMe_RWlaCwBekT-IPzgO0BzxpFsrBWxot1RKd0pluhl9vutbduXal1zxnDbNB7YRPk72rrAY/s1600/IMG_0037.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhv9EulCLIax0t58BbgIpQsVcR-rUbuDUeKhn08vP3iLiTesm-jGapnvlMFp-d8itvT0IWvMe_RWlaCwBekT-IPzgO0BzxpFsrBWxot1RKd0pluhl9vutbduXal1zxnDbNB7YRPk72rrAY/s320/IMG_0037.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
This bubbling happened with no topcoat and three THIN coats. Bubbling is a pretty rare problem for me and the fact that this bubbled almost immediately does not bode well with me.<br />
<br />
Lastly I have DVD. I had a heck of a time finding out what color this is because there were no polish names on ANY of the bottles. How weird is that? This one is a blue/purple glitter duochrome. Very sheer on it's own. I would suggest layering this on top of black I think. I actually had to paint this on my nail again as I write this to solidify my opinion that it does not promise as much duochrome fun as the bottle would have you believe. Don't get me wrong, it's pretty, but not near as spectacular as you might think it is while looking at it on the shelf. Below is pictured three coats, with the top one being rather thick. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnb5DKb_Ge7i5Tdhp0hcmu-I08_-3z3S6o0RlPFUqe6kQgCVn7vg8Hx95ujZF1VfVAVbmT4SuZqKY6VokBl7DG-QqAZL_JJs5Wmm1GdQgOYGxy42YaaqhaZ36_be2jTK45WfCKZc_bRxM/s1600/IMG_0029.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnb5DKb_Ge7i5Tdhp0hcmu-I08_-3z3S6o0RlPFUqe6kQgCVn7vg8Hx95ujZF1VfVAVbmT4SuZqKY6VokBl7DG-QqAZL_JJs5Wmm1GdQgOYGxy42YaaqhaZ36_be2jTK45WfCKZc_bRxM/s320/IMG_0029.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Overall I'm not super-impressed with DVD and Cyber. I did really like Lite and Hi-Res though. Formula was pretty bad on Cyber and DVD was quite sheer. Lite is gorgeous! I am really thinking about putting that one on again very soon and Hi-Res is lots of fun for a pink. I'm not usually a fan of bright pinks but this one I like.<br />
<br />
The brushes on these were poo. They were TINY (even for a mini) and didn't grab enough polish for one stroke across the nail. I had to re-dip so much it really was an issue. <br />

Imagine my surprise and absolute joy when I saw a seafoam jelly! Oh man, I couldn't contain my excitement. I ran home and started swatching, only to be completely let down. First, a bottle shot so you can see the color in the bottle. <br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Isn't this gorgeous in the bottle? However, when I put a coat of this polish on..... well let me just show you what happened.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqIrvyxCTkiOEo2GAF48LXS8rA5A04Qzr1eYbdU72dOGEMZdJ6WItMEgkjwGUVGYLSZfFZyjcw0vNaX-5mIQ9OsBBbOhMsBjQ9390XpTgY6_1U7v4uuH7AEC-udi94j7mEYFoHEslwKWE/s1600/IMG_0026.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqIrvyxCTkiOEo2GAF48LXS8rA5A04Qzr1eYbdU72dOGEMZdJ6WItMEgkjwGUVGYLSZfFZyjcw0vNaX-5mIQ9OsBBbOhMsBjQ9390XpTgY6_1U7v4uuH7AEC-udi94j7mEYFoHEslwKWE/s320/IMG_0026.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It looks like I wore a blue polish that stained my nails and then put clearcoat over it. This one is horrid. Just to see how many coats it might take to reach even semi-opacity I kept putting on layers of polish. Do you want to know how many coats it took? NINE. Nine coats. It never dried. I don't know why on earth Revlon would put this out. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
There's no redeeming qualities to this polish. Take a look at the first picture. Do you see how much polish has been used? That's after one use trying to get something semi-opaque. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'm going to post this on Revlon's wall and pose to them the question: "How did this make it past the research phase?"</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is another polish I'm not even going to bother rating. </div>

Essie's always been one of my favorite brands. Go Overboard is a dark teal cream. I LOVE this color. It is really pigment saturated which is good but overall I'm disappointed. <br />
Let's start with some swatches and then I'll go over my (long) list of issues I had with this one.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPYjsf9ilVgjoUh9x5AWmW-Q769OdWFHo_qSICoOi1nitfAiNerkOsRHG2aEAW-qa9d5xNNDnCXnQXmETtE8XcIsTW-VlriQFR6yseHBzrjPAaQS-L_pcXfHuzbDuZEMhVhf1h2lZYazw/s1600/IMG_0047.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPYjsf9ilVgjoUh9x5AWmW-Q769OdWFHo_qSICoOi1nitfAiNerkOsRHG2aEAW-qa9d5xNNDnCXnQXmETtE8XcIsTW-VlriQFR6yseHBzrjPAaQS-L_pcXfHuzbDuZEMhVhf1h2lZYazw/s320/IMG_0047.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFRNvV1EYKOzkqyzf9yiNsQO2ecCIhxbYQMtJ5az1ifGtN4uSbHXGka34jcFCkucDTuV92ury4ewTzIaKq77_CBF6Pi82__gQ0U_M3HVn-Y6OYiyV4ENUO2PnYSf4RKSjDnpkzkf9VaYU/s1600/IMG_0050.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFRNvV1EYKOzkqyzf9yiNsQO2ecCIhxbYQMtJ5az1ifGtN4uSbHXGka34jcFCkucDTuV92ury4ewTzIaKq77_CBF6Pi82__gQ0U_M3HVn-Y6OYiyV4ENUO2PnYSf4RKSjDnpkzkf9VaYU/s320/IMG_0050.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Alright, so first things...formula. This one was really thin. It ran down into my cuticles and when I tried to do a cleanup, it dyed my fingers and fingernails even though I wore a basecoat. Do you see my blue cuticles? Yeah, that did not come off for two days. It was a mess. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEini9X-BplGChtwF_Po_oeTEpc3seOCjBELjX7xO9hoxXCKNJq1ViBL7lOr9dbvypOyegThQ9ZtxhMUoQAvOBNkHAlYALhsw-A_zwW6WAoayL8VUMa_E6D7VNJeBhmubG7cU7cxjt6k8uk/s1600/IMG_0053.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEini9X-BplGChtwF_Po_oeTEpc3seOCjBELjX7xO9hoxXCKNJq1ViBL7lOr9dbvypOyegThQ9ZtxhMUoQAvOBNkHAlYALhsw-A_zwW6WAoayL8VUMa_E6D7VNJeBhmubG7cU7cxjt6k8uk/s320/IMG_0053.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
THEN the next day as I was going to work I noticed terrible bubbling. I even took a picture to show you how bad it was. This was on every single nail and it was BAD. I didn't put on thick coats, either. It was two thin ones. The formula was so thin there was no way to apply a thick coat even if I wanted to. On top of all that it stained my nails and cuticles.<br />
Wear- wear on this one was pretty poor too. Not long into my first day of wearing this I had lots of chips. I ended up just peeling it off halfway through the day. I don't like doing that but I don't like having really chipped polish either. <br />
The brush on this one was also really thin. I don't know if I've ever had an Essie brush that was this thin and with all of the wider brushes going around, you'd think Essie would have gotten on board some. It took seven strokes to cover my nail with one coat. I can usually get away with three, possible four.<br />
<br />
I'm not even going to rate this one like I normally do. <br />
I'm sad, Essie! I hope this was just a really bad mix-up somewhere at the factory and that ALL of this color weren't this terrible. :( <br />
I really wanted to love this color. <br />
<br />
Until tomorrow, <br />

Why not. I grabbed "AIR" and ran to work so I could paint them on my poor naked nails. With a name like "Smooth AND Perfect" you'd better have a home run of a product or you're going to have a big flop. To my surprise, this polish lives up to it's name. First, a few swatches:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRknDMl0dk_nZ1Jg3WQW2mK3_w-f5q1K4A-_kdjFRmw4ZgtI-xeNeKalPk27lWaSrdyuisVX8hIF0gJHtjmB20UzpmXq8fNhiwYVidSAayCNj12is1SMLsVgL5u8kcvrpJryR4GzoEa7U/s1600/Sally+Hansen+Air+and+Whisper+005.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRknDMl0dk_nZ1Jg3WQW2mK3_w-f5q1K4A-_kdjFRmw4ZgtI-xeNeKalPk27lWaSrdyuisVX8hIF0gJHtjmB20UzpmXq8fNhiwYVidSAayCNj12is1SMLsVgL5u8kcvrpJryR4GzoEa7U/s320/Sally+Hansen+Air+and+Whisper+005.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1QUem_UwTNpH4_Md6ZMNmzhGrKA3Qm44Uq-iUof8VSLLA4zJ7LiTixNu2icy2E9t0mGJUj4RXXZppDc7U48ifBSV6FaFyOSXlBAv-dJmmo5jgPTS2vZl1sUYT1fNOrqNGXGsVinGuuyE/s1600/Sally+Hansen+Air+and+Whisper+004.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1QUem_UwTNpH4_Md6ZMNmzhGrKA3Qm44Uq-iUof8VSLLA4zJ7LiTixNu2icy2E9t0mGJUj4RXXZppDc7U48ifBSV6FaFyOSXlBAv-dJmmo5jgPTS2vZl1sUYT1fNOrqNGXGsVinGuuyE/s320/Sally+Hansen+Air+and+Whisper+004.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
First coat of both of these colors went on really sheer. So sheer that if you didn't know I had polish on, you'd never be able to see it. Coat two went on a little darker but by coat three of both of these, it was PERFECT...and....SMOOTH. Go figure, right? By smooth, I mean it even filled the permanent ridge in my pinky nail perfectly without any ridge filler or basecoat. I can't see a deep ridge, can you?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Normally if a polish takes three coats to look opaque then it's too much hastle for me to deal with and I never really use it again. For these, I'll make an exception. Formula on this has been great so far. Not too thick or thin and you can build up opacity however you'd like. You can get a sheer wash of color or go completely opaque. I Had two smudges while waiting for this to dry and the formula is SO good on these that the smudges worked themselves out into a completely smooth finish and you'd never know I smudged two nails. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
All of the colors in this line are soft pastels and all very demure and can be paired with any other polish in this line and look perfect. The line also includes some pinks, corals and a really pretty pastel green (that's the next one I'm going to buy). All of them have a nice subtle shimmer to them, but not too much as to distract from these beautiful colors. Once the color is dried it stays on very well. Removing this polish takes a bit of elbow grease and acetone. I think that's due to the fact that 3 coats + a topcoat is pretty thick. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Overall I LOVE this line and I'm kind of sad I didn't buy it sooner. The ONLY thing I didn't like was the three coat application. I'm sure I can live with that though. The purple, Whisper, was so sheer that it took quite a bit of polish from the bottle. Those are my only two complaints. Nothing major. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Swatches pictured above are under artificial light. Accent finger is "AIR" and other four are "WHISPER."</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I got these at target but have seen them literally everywhere. If you're into pastels this is a must have in your collection.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

How do I love thee?<br />
Let me count the ways....<br />
<br />
HAH! Cheesy as mess, I know. <br />
Sooo..... I ordered some of GlitterDaze's Monsta Love from the Birthday Girl collection last week. Birthday Girl is named so because it's in celebration of Sana's birthday. Happy Birthday! *confetti*<br />
<br />
First, a clippet of text that's on GlitterDaze's website about her polishes:<br />
"Each GlitterDaze nail polish is individually made, just for you!! We try to use the highest quality ingredients and will never include anything that has been tested on animals!"<br />
Great, right? I'm such an animal lover.<br />
<br />
Anyways, Monsta Love is a glitter for layering that's loaded with all types of glitter. There's bar glitter, heart shaped glitter, hex, round, micro, square..and colors of magenta, pink, purple and red. <br />
I tried this polish over white originally to showcase all of the great glitters in this one but the base is tinted a bit purplish so it didn't look great in pictures (but in real life, stunner!) and then tried black but that didn't do it justice for pictures either, even though again, in person, it was awesome; so for these swatches I painted Sally Hansen's "Whisper." Finally, the pictures kind of captured the glory of Monsta Love. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
See the heart shaped glitter? Heee. It reminds me of when I painted hearts on my ring fingers for my wedding mani. The bar glitter in this really stands out and adds a nice touch to any color. Wear on this was fantastic, even on naked nails. Sometimes I have issues with big glitters like this on naked nails. It tends to peel but this one, no peel-age! I was especially rough with my hands today (scrubbing baked cheese off of a casserole dish, unpacking hundreds of shoes, several hand scrubbings...) and I didn't have the first bit of peeling or chipping. I even had a break on my thumbnail and *gasp* had to BITE it off at work to avoid it tearing up the nail bed. Guess what? Not even that caused peeling or chipping. RARE. <br />
<br />
Formula on this was outstanding. The base it's in suspended the glitters perfectly. I had absolutely NO settling during shipping and I didn't have to shake it a million times or turn it upside down or fish around in the bottle for a variety of glitters. Even the greatest polishes have settling (Revlon Whimsical comes to mind) and the fact that this didn't have any was great. You can see in the pictures that there's a good assortment of glitter shapes and colors on each nail. I didn't have to coax that, it brushed on that well. With a nice coat of Gelous on the top I didn't have any whiskers on the bar glitter which I do a lot of the times with shredded and bar glitter. It was as smooth as glass afterwards. <br />
<br />
This is a great glitter for layering. I'm going to try it over Essie's Madamoiselle and as a jelly sandwich with Essie's Marshmallow and OPI's Guy Meets Gal-veston. I really can't wait for the Marshmallow jelly sandwich. <br />
<br />
The ONLY thing I didn't love about this was the fact that the base has a slightly purple tint that made layering it over white look funky. That's not enough to make a difference for me though. This is still in my top 3 glitters I own. Woo! <br />
<br />
This was my first purchase from Sana at GlitterDaze but I know it won't be my last. I will leave you with a picture of the packaging because I'm SUCH a sucker for great packaging and the sticker on this was just so darned cute I had to share. :-)<br />

<br />
For all pictures above I painted one coat over naked nails with a thick coat of Gelous on top. <br />
<br />
<br />
Finally- it's time for my rating!<br />
Overall score- 4.5/5<br />
Formula- 5/5 (the glitter was suspended perfectly in the base. I had NO settling during shipping)<br />
Wear 5/5 (no chips!)<br />
Personal rating 4/5 (tinted base didn't look good over white, but that's minor)<br />
<br />
You can find Sana at GlitterDaze in the following places:<br />
Facebook: <a href="http://www.facebook.com/GlitterDaze?ref=ts" target="_blank">Clicky</a><br />
Blogger: <a href="http://www.glitterdazenp.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Clicky</a><br />
And she's got a great storefront! <a href="http://glitterdaze.storenvy.com/" target="_blank">Clicky</a><br />
With the storefront there's no crazed clicking and hoping like there is on Etsy. There's no excuse not to go out and get one ASAP...because, you know....you should ;)<br />
<br />
Until next time,<br />
Happy Polishing!<br />
